Kira got to trick or treat for the first time today! While the weather wasn't too cooperative, we were able to visit with family and had a very enjoyable night. We can't wait for next year!
Our little girl turns 1 year old! It seems like the time flew by, feels like only yesterday that we were bringing her home from the hospital. She's walking more and more each day. It's only a matter of time before she has us running after her to catch up!
As we quickly approach Kira's first birthday, we decided to take her to a pumpkin stand and snap a few photos. Kira was her usual cheerful self and was very patient while playing amongst the pumpkins.
I can't help but be a stereotypical proud parent and take a great deal of photos of our daughter, and really make no excuses for not taking a more diverse selection of subjects. Next weekend, a more planned photo shoot is planned, hopefully the weather cooperates with us.
We have officially moved from Norfolk back to Pennsylvania...now spending less time traveling during our downtime. As a result: more time for photos. With my work schedule, working on night shots is the easier aspect to work on. The town we live in has some diverse buildings and a surprisingly urban look. This photo is more or less an experiment with lighting, since traveling on a bike limits what tools can be brought along.
I need to find some like-photography-minded individuals to assist with some rolling shots on the bike, but it might take some creative photoshop skills...
The house is getting packed up and soon we will leave Virginia for good. It's been great, but I miss the mountains. We will be doing Kira's one year birthday photos soon, and Laura has some fantastic ideas in the works! But time for a random cellphone pic:
A great many changes has occurred over the last year. A new job/career has brought me back to Pennsylvania...which involves a major move. I've had very little time for photos, but that will change soon. The new place will provide the much needed space for a mini studio, so I will take some more time for portraits and studio work.
