So what does it mean? Even though you might have had chance on your side before, allowing very nice photos to seemingly appear despite the lack of experience and skill, a fool would truly think of themselves as a photographer. Perhaps it seems like I am just being harsh on the multitudes of fauxtographers that charge for sub-par photos. They have their point and shoots and DSLRs set on full auto, and seem oblivious to what actually makes good photos. Don't get me wrong, a point and shoot can capture amazing photos if chance and skill are present. But we are talking about the exception rather than the rule. I surf the car forums and read the negativity associated with the people who immediately think themselves skilled because they have a nice camera and a blog...as you read this on a fauxtographers blog...But I guess the difference would be that all this is a learning experience for me, not some chance to prove how fantastic I am and charging as such. I consider myself more in the category of a chance fauxtographer than skilled photographer at this time.
